Boogeyman 3 is ready to rock and roll and will begin shooting in February. The last movie got mixed reviews and went straight to dvd. This new one directed by Gary Jones will no doubt also follow #2 direct to the dvd spot.
When Sarah witnesses the alleged suicide of her roommate, it sets off a supernatural chain reaction. As she tries to convince the rest of her dorm that the Boogeyman does exist, the evil force grows stronger and her friends pay the price. Now Sarah must stop this ultimate evil before the entire campus falls prey.
SAW is a great franchise. The studio wins and we as fans for the most part win. Its cheap to produce, it delivers the goods that fans want and hence everyone wins. Today from one of my insiders who wont be named we have a casting update on SAW 5. It will begin shooting in April she tells me. Will we have it in time for October? Perhaps! Still no word on the script but I am sure we will know soon enough.
Production Charts have listed the cast already as being Tobin Bell, Scott Patterson ( Agent Strahm ) and Costas Mandylor ( Hoffman ). I think this one will be a sequel with flashbacks just like SAW 4 in order to incorporate dead characters including Tobin Bell who played Jigsaw!
NEW YORK-- Actor Heath Ledger was found dead Tuesday at his downtown Manhattan apartment, according to the New York City Police Department. He was 28.
NYPD spokeswoman Stephanie Jaramillo told FOXNews.com that Ledger was discovered by his housekeeper at his apartment at 421 Broome Street in the Soho section of New York City and was pronounced dead at 3:35 p.m. EST.
Jaramillo declined to comment on the cause of death, saying only that "the investigation is still ongoing."
But The New York Post reported that Ledger died of a possible drug overdose and his apartment was strewn with pills.
Law enforcement has confirmed to celebrity gossip site TMZ.com that his death was accidental, prescription pills were found in his bedroom and he was face down on the floor when his housekeeper discovered him. The autopsy is scheduled for Wednesday, according to TMZ.
Ledger had an appointment for a massage at his Manhattan apartment, NYPD spokesman Paul Browne told The Associated Press. The housekeeper went to let Ledger know the masseuse had arrived and found him dead, according to Browne.
The apartment is listed as a three-bedroom Soho loft with a rent of $23,000, according to real estate broker Corcoran.
The Australian-born actor was nominated for an Oscar for "Brokeback Mountain," where he met his wife, actress Michelle Williams, in 2005. Ledger and Williams had lived in Brooklyn and had a daughter, Matilda, until they split up last year.
Ledger's roles include the suicidal son of Billy Bob Thornton in "Monster's Ball" and had starring roles in "A Knight's Tale" and "The Patriot." He was to appear as the Joker this year in "The Dark Night," a sequel to 2005's "Batman Begins."

*UPDATE*
How Heath's Body Was Discovered The Olsen twins' connection to Heath Ledger's apartment is now clear.
Here's the way it went down. A cleaning lady for Heath arrived at the apartment first, followed soon thereafter by a masseuse. They both entered the room at around the same time and discovered Heath's lifeless body.
The cleaning lady called police. The masseuse, we're told, called the bodyguard for the Olsens. She called him because they're friends and he's an EMT. The bodyguard was around the block at Ashley's and he immediately went over. By the time he arrived, the cops were already there.
We're also told it appeared Heath "had been dead for a while" and there were no visible signs of trauma. There was a pill bottle on the nightstand.
As you may or may not have heard, Cloverfield pulled in some monstrous (getting that joke out of the way up front) numbers this weekend, taking in just over $40 million according to Box Office Mojo. The monster that beheads the Statue of Liberty and ruins the evening for several partying New Yorkers has been a closely guarded secret, and for those of us who haven't seen the movie yet (I'm hoping to catch it this week), the creature's appearance remains a tantalizing mystery. Whatever the big fella looks like, though, he's about to be immortalized by the same folks who brought us Cabbage Patch Kids, Play-Doh and Monopoly.
Variety is reporting that orders for an action figure based on the Cloverfield monster are being taken over at Hasbro's website. The figure won't ship until September 30 and, presumably in the interest of keeping the monster's look under wraps a while longer, no images of the toy are available just now. If you absolutely must have one of these, start saving your pennies because it's going to be a bit pricey. Aimed at the collectible crowd, it's selling for $100. The 14-inch figure comes with two interchangeable heads (one calm, one on the rampage), 10 parasites, and the Statue of Liberty's noggin.
Hasbro, of course is no stranger to movie tie-ins. Not only do they have a long history of movie based toys, but several of their products have gone in the other direction and had films based on them. Hasbro's Transformers was the basis for the last summer's film of the same name and a motion picture version of G.I. Joe is in the works. Thanks to Cinematical
If you have not already heard, the 'X-Files' Sequel is currently filming in Vancouver, Canada. 'The studio is keeping the film's logline under wraps, but stressed the pic is a stand-alone story and supernatural thriller that takes the complicated relationship between Mulder and Scully in new directions.'
Darren Lynn Bousman director of 'Repo The Genetic Opera' and former director of 'SAW 2-4' Updated his blog with the following entry.
So everyone keep their fingers crossed - as REPO has now been sent, and now in hands of the producers. That's right - I have sent off the movie to be screened by the hollywoods EXEC'S. I guess I should be scared - as screening for 'suits' is always a nail biting experience - and even more so with a movie like this... But I feel good... no, not good - great - about this movie, and WHAT IT IS...
Yesterday I spent a large portion of the day at Deluxe doing color timing on a scene from REPO - basically setting 'a look'. I got chills! Joe White the DP did a fucking KILLER job - with his style and what Deluxe is doing - this movie will look like something DIRECTLY out of a fairy tale!
On a completely other note - I spoke to David Hackl yesterday... As most of you know David is directing SAW V... I have to be honest - it's a hard pill to swallow... Handing over the baton - - passing the torch - - call it what you will... But for the last three years SAW has been my life... Last week, they opened up the preproduction office for V. It feels strange not to be there... It feels even stranger knowing that those production offices are only two blocks from where I am now... But, I feel confident in the fact that the franchise is in great hands with David - and that it was time for me to move on...
If I have my way - I am only leaving one franchise to start another! Maybe this time next year as SAW VI is gearing up - I will working on REPO II... One can only dream...

Chuck Liddell former UFC champion has a cameo in this film. Ryan (Troy Gentile), Wade (Nate Hartley) and Emmit (David Dorfman) attend their first day at high school and they're pumped...until they meet up with Filkins (Alex Frost), a school bully who comes off like a little Hannibal Lecter. Before they become completely engulfed in Filkins' reign of terror, they seek out some protection by placing an ad in Soldier of Fortune magazine.
Their best response - and the cheapest - comes from Drillbit Taylor (Owen Wilson), a down-on-his luck soldier of fortune who lives a homeless - he likes to say "home-free" - existence on the beach. He enrolls them in some physical and mental training.
If you have been to a theatre lately you may have caught a preview for 'The Orphanage' which is produced by the amazing Guillermo del Toro. I'm not going to sit here and talk about the film, I am going to let the trailer speak for itself...

'National Treasure' leads box office with a light touch
The National Treasure franchise continues to have no trouble finding gold at the box office as the second installment took in $45.5 million, according to studio estimates. National Treasure: Book of Secrets eclipsed expectations by about $5 million and was an easy winner over a busy pre-Christmas weekend that featured high-profile movies from Johnny Depp, Tom Hanks and Julia Roberts.
Secrets also managed to beat its predecessor, which debuted at $35 million in 2004. That film went on to do $173 million.
"We had a couple benchmarks coming into this weekend," says Chuck Viane, head of distribution for Disney, which released Secrets. "One was to come in above $40 million. The other was to have an opening like Night at the Museum," last year's Christmas hit that debuted at $30 million and did $250 million.
Viane credits Secrets' debut to what has been the key to success for most of the big movies this fall: an upbeat theme.
FIND MORE STORIES IN: Roberts | Secrets | Chuck Viane | Hanks | Dewey Cox Story "There were a lot of good movies out there this fall, but they're heavy and not things that everyone can go see together," he says. "This is a movie that does that. (Producer) Jerry Bruckheimer and Nic Cage know how to make entertainment people can see as a family."
Will Smith's I Am Legend dropped 56% from its debut to take second place with $34.2 million, bringing its 10-day total to $137.5 million. Alvin and the Chipmunks was third with $29 million, dropping just 35% from its debut.
Charlie Wilson's War, the political comedy with Hanks and Roberts, was fourth with $9.6 million, meeting most expectations.
Depp's bloody musical, Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street, had a strong showing on 1,249 screens, taking $9.4 million and fifth place.
Among the other major newcomers, the Hilary Swank romantic comedy P.S. I Love You came in sixth with $6.5 million.
The loser of the weekend was the rock comedy Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story. The movie, expected to do about $10 million, was eighth with $4.1 million.
Ticket sales were up 1% from last weekend and 41% from the same weekend last year.
I just got hold of the top ten films from the box office for this weekend. A bit surprised Sweeney Todd didn't do better, the bolded films are the ones that opened this past Friday.

From LionsGate comes the poster for Witless Protection. Larry the Cable Guy returns for another comic misadventure as a small town sheriff who unwittingly gets involved in a high profile FBI case in Lionsgate’s new comedy, WITLESS PROTECTION. During a routine day spent patrolling his small town, Larry witnesses a beautiful, high-class woman, Madeleine, being held against her will by four mysterious, black-suited men. Recognizing the opportunity to save the day, Larry "kidnaps” her, only to learn that Madeleine is actually a key witness in a high-stakes Chicago crime case and her captors are FBI agents assigned to protect her. Madeleine is furious.
But Larry, who rightly suspects the agents are crooked and Madeleine is in danger, forces her on a harebrained trip to Chicago to solve the case himself. Together, the hilariously mismatched duo must grapple with angry FBI agents, quack doctors and Chicago high society in his funniest, most unpredictable adventure yet.
WITLESS PROTECTION is written and directed by Charles Robert Carner and stars Larry the Cable Guy, Ivana Milicevic, Yaphet Kotto, Peter Stormare, Eric Roberts, Joe Mantegna and Jenny McCarthy.
Imagine every cell phone, radio, and television in your city suddenly broadcasting the same mysterious signal over and over. Now imagine these "terminus" transmissions evoking violent, uncontrollable, psychotic chaos from everyone who comes in contact with them.
The Signal invades the minds of everyday citizens living their workaday lives and having their sordid affairs. Suddenly struck by the power of the insidious transmissions, they are compelled to kill or be killed. Complicating matters is a zombielike resistance some characters have to the idea of remaining dead. The story violently explodes, blending bloody gore with psychological satire, for a truly original horror experience.
The sequel to Guillermo del Toro's comic book hit brings Ron Perlman back as the big red BPRD agent. In Hellboy II: The Golden Army, he must battle creatures bent on world domination.
